Excellent SIAMS Inspection report

SIAMS CHURCH SCHOOLS INSPECTION OUTCOME
We are extremely pleased to announce that the outcome of our SIAMS Inspection on January 31st, is a grading of ‘Excellent’. This is the highest outcome possible under the new inspection framework and replaces the ‘Outstanding’ grade of the previous one. This is a fantastic achievement for our whole school community and fully recognises all of the hard work of everyone involved.

The final report fully highlights many of the great things that happen to enable both pupils and adults to thrive. During the inspection, all of the children were wonderful representatives of our school and spoke so knowledgeably and proudly about what happens each and every day. It was felt that our vision was clearly shared by all and shone through in everything that was observed. Here are a few of the many excellent findings:

“The school’s Christian vision is lived out in an exemplary manner with strongly held values.”

“An outstanding sense of shared purpose unites the school, parents and the church.”

“Staff conscientiously ensure pupils understand the world’s diverse nature.”

“The curriculum has an excellent balance between religious and other views.”

“[pupils have] excellent knowledge of other world religions and recognise the importance of this in promoting global understanding.”

“Pupils deeply understand the source of their vision and values of “working together, valuing everyone, learning for life.”

As well as it being very gratifying to have such wonderful things written about our school, it was also incredibly rewarding to see the response of so many members of our school community in wanting to speak and write in praise of all that we do. My sincere thanks to pupils, staff, families, Preb. Jan, governors, volunteers, visiting teachers, students and The Bath and Mendip Partnership Trust, for their contributions to the process and their hard work and support every day to make our school the best it can be. I am extremely proud to have had our achievements recognised in this way and look forward to us continuing and building upon, our fantastic work as a church school.
