Experienced Teaching Assistant

Grade 3 (SCP 5-6) £19,650 - £20,043 per annum pro rata

16.25 hours per week (Monday – Friday, 08.45 – 12.00)

Term time only plus 2 inset days

We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and innovative Teaching Assistant to work at Farmborough Church School.

The post holder’s responsibilities include providing general classroom support, the meeting of pupils’ emotional, social and physical needs and liaising with teaching staff in the development and delivery of the differentiated curriculum.

Applicants will need to be confident, resilient and have excellent communication skills.  Experience of working with children in a school setting is essential.  In return we offer you a wonderful family school with enthusiastic children, an excellent staff team and supportive parents and Governors.

After-School Club Leader
12.5 hours a week. 2.5 hours a day, 5 days a week 3pm – 5.30pm

We are seeking to appoint an After-School Club Leader to lead and manage our flourishing After-School Club every day during term time.

The post holders’ responsibilities will include:
• planning, preparing and leading a programme of activities such as active play, art, crafts and cookery
• the completion of all relevant paperwork and administration
• managing up to two other staff
• liasing closely with our school office team and class teachers

Applicants will need to be confident, resilient and have excellent communication skills. Experience of working with or caring for children of a relevant age in either a paid, voluntary or domestic environment is also essential as is an interest in children’s development and issues concerning their education and welfare. Being flexible, patient and a great team player is also very important, along with a good sense of humour.

The post holder’s responsibilities will be to work alongside our other cleaner carrying out all cleaning tasks to a high standard. You will be approachable, enthusiastic, flexible and committed to providing a quality service.
